LUBECOTE 240 PROTECTIVE COATING
LUBECOTE 240 (sometimes referred to as Moly or Molybond) provides a durable barrier coating bonded to a metal substrate, providing corrosion protection and dry film lubrication at medium to very high loads. LUBECOTE 240 can be applied at an extremely low film build with great results, which makes it a wise choice when corrosion protection and lubrication is required in a low tolerance application, such as on threaded components/fasteners.
The combination of a flexible resin loaded with Molybdenum Disulphide, means that parts coated in LUBECOTE 240 enjoy extended service life, through greater resistance to corrosion- also reduced part wear due to its lubrication properties. Future maintenance will be avoided because of its anti-seize ability and is used extensively on stainless steel fasteners for this very attribute.
