DESCRIPTION
ELECTROPLATING is a process of depositing a layer of any desired metal on another material by means of electricity. ELECTROPLATING is primarily used to change the surface properties of an object (such as abrasion and wear resistance, corrosion protection, lubricity, aesthetic qualities).
We use ELECTROPLATING processes such as Yellow and Blue Zinc, Zinc Nickel and Cadmium as a basecoat for some of our fastener class coating systems, to provide a sacrificial coating which amplifies the corrosion resistance of the system in comparison to other pre-treatments applied in-house.
We do not have ELECTROPLATING facilities in-house however we do only use the most trusted suppliers who conform to our Quality System requirements and expectations. We only take on ELECTROPLATING projects that we can add value to in terms of pre or post the ELECTROPLATING process.
