Most of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another and currently at Doogood it’s the Goodes Family “Matriarch” Sandra, who is courageously fighting her own battle due to a malignant brain tumour. We know first-hand how life changing a cancer diagnosis can be for the patient and their family which is why this July the Doogood team is proudly going dry!
Those who know the Doogood Team (certain members in particular) know that they are rather partial to the occasional (perhaps frequent!) beer, whiskey or wine. But they have put their tendency to partake in a soothing after-work or weekend ale on hold to support this fantastic cause.
The funds raised provide invaluable services to cancer patients, their families and carers – whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs or a bed close to treatment.
The Dry July Foundation proudly supports numerous cancer organisations across Australia including the Cancer Council, McGrath Foundation, Leukaemia Foundation and many more.
