Coatings for the construction industry
Construction work splits into two jobs that look similar and are not. Architectural metalwork has to look right for decades in plain view. Structural steel has to survive conditions nobody will ever inspect once the building is finished.
We handle both from our Dandenong South facility, coating everything from window frames to structural fabrications.
Architectural metalwork
Doogood Surface Coatings provides high-performance corrosion protection solutions for architectural and infrastructure applications where durability, aesthetics, and long-term performance are critical. Our specialised coating systems are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions while maintaining a premium appearance.
The Black Knight range delivers advanced corrosion-resistant finishes with excellent durability, making it ideal for architectural fasteners, fixings, brackets, and components used in commercial, industrial, and coastal environments. Backed by technical expertise and rigorous quality standards, we help architects, builders, and manufacturers achieve reliable, long-lasting protection for their projects.
Structural steel and corrosion protection
For steel that has to last, preparation comes first. Abrasive blasting gives the clean profile a protective system needs, and our protective coatings cover zinc, epoxy, polyurethane and polysiloxane systems from PPG, Dulux, Jotun and Hempel.
Where the specification calls for evidence rather than assurances, our corrosion protection service includes inspection, testing and reporting. We can also arrange hot-dip galvanising through trusted suppliers where a zinc-iron alloy coating suits the job better.
Site access and anti-skid
For roadworks and footpath reinstatement, road plates and footway boards are coated with Rocbinda, a resin and bauxite aggregate system that meets the slip resistance the Code of Practice requires.
