Coatings for petrochemical plant

Petrochemical processing is hard on metal in a specific way. It is not just weather and time, it is direct contact with solvents, acids, alkalis and fuels, often at temperature, on equipment that cannot easily be taken offline for recoating.

We coat petrochemical components from our Dandenong South facility, working to the specification the process demands.

Resisting chemical attack

Where media contact is the main risk, Chemtac 333 is a thin film coating blending fluoropolymer resins with PTFE solids, with resistance to industrial solvents, acids, alkalis and fuels.

Xylan covers corrosion resistance, lubrication and wear across a family of fluoropolymer systems, and our specialised coatings cover components where heat, chemicals or abrasion rule out a conventional finish.

Fasteners, valves and fittings

Threaded hardware in a petrochemical plant has to release when maintenance comes around. Fastener class coating and dry-film lubricants keep torque predictable and threads free.

For valves and actuators, our pump, valve and actuation painting handles precise masking of critical surfaces to the drawing.

External corrosion and reporting

Outside the process stream, structural steel, pipework supports and vessels still need conventional protection. Our protective coatings cover zinc, epoxy, polyurethane and polysiloxane systems, prepared by abrasive blasting to the required standard.

Coating thickness, surface profile, salt contamination and holiday detection are measured in-house, with third party inspection and reporting available.
