Coatings for manufacturers
Manufacturers need three things from a coater: the right finish, a predictable turnaround and the capacity to handle the whole run rather than part of it. Splitting a job across two suppliers usually means two slightly different finishes.
We coat manufactured components from our Dandenong South facility, across 2500 square metres of factory space.
Capacity for production runs
Our facilities include seven open-face spray booths, an enclosed downdraft heated booth, multiple blasting booths running garnet, glass bead and aluminium oxide, and a dip spin machine turning out roughly three tonnes per shift.
Some of the largest coating booths and batch ovens in Australia mean oversized components are handled in one piece. Forklift capacity runs to 4.5 tonnes with a 5 tonne mobile gantry crane, and we deliver Australia wide.
Choosing the finish
Spray painting covers industrial, military and automotive specifications where powder is not an option.
For components with deep recesses and complex geometry, e-coat coats evenly where line-of-sight application struggles, exceeding 840 hours of neutral salt spray testing.
Pre-treatment and quality control
Every finish depends on what happens first. Abrasive blasting and zinc or iron phosphate pre-treatment give a consistent base across an entire run.
Coating thickness, gloss, surface profile and salt contamination are measured in-house under an ISO 9001 accredited quality management system, with third party inspection available.
